[edit] Analysis
The bioinformatics services provided by Brett Milash and David Nix are subject to an hourly recharge for time dedicated to projects above and beyond 5 hours of basic analysis services. Services will continue to be substantially subsidized for all School of Medicine and Huntsman Cancer Institute investigators. Brett and David will schedule free monthly workshops whereby investigators may receive additional help with their analysis needs as part of any open forum. In addition, Brett and David will be happy to provide free consultation with regard to experimental design and grant planning. It is our hope that in the future, investigators will plan to include funds dedicated to bioinformatics in their future grant submissions.
The fee structure will be as follows:
$25/hr for School of Medicine and HCI investigators
$50/hr for all other University of Utah students, employees and staff
$90/hr not for profit researcher outside of the University
$120/hr for profit
For large projects or those that are continuous, we can arrange for Brett or David's effort to be paid from research accounts at some set percentage. Please inquire if this would be more appropriate for your situation.
